The Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation (KTMF) is proud to be a partner of the inaugural Femme Combat Fest 2024! This exciting event, held on March 7th, 2024, at the Melili Hotel South B from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, served as the official media launch for the Femme Combat Fest.
A captivating panel discussion followed, titled “Breaking Barriers: Challenges and Triumphs of Female Athletes in Combat Sports and Our Role in Ending Femicide and GBV.” Moderated by Ms. Glynn, the panel featured prominent figures including Atieno Muyuyi (Uweza Foundation), Queenter Mbori (Women Network Kenya), June Anyango (UN Representative), Joan Githua (Kenya Judo Federation Secretary & KNOC Gender Commission Member), and Master Anuro (KTMF Nairobi Region Chairman). Their diverse perspectives offered valuable insights into the challenges faced by female athletes and the collective responsibility to combat femicide and gender-based violence.
The energy remained high as the event transitioned to showcase the participating Femme Combat Fest federations. Each federation presented demonstrations and exhibitions, giving the audience a glimpse into the various martial arts disciplines represented. This segment also provided a fantastic opportunity for attendees to meet and greet athletes and federation leaders.
Partners of the Femme Combat Fest were then introduced, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.
As a participating partner, the KTMF was represented by Master Anuro, Vice Chairman Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation
The Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation is honored to be a part of this groundbreaking initiative. We strongly believe in the empowering potential of martial arts for women and commend the Femme Combat Fest for its mission to create a platform for female athletes and advocate for gender equality.
